Zemgale regional competence development center (Latvia) is a self – government institution of the city of Jelgava, the purpose of which is to provide continuing education for the residents of Jelgava and the Zemgale region.

Tasks: providing methodological, educational and informational support to entrepreneurs, institutions, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.

Main directions of work: development of human capital, economic knowledge and information society.

In 2016, the center received the prize of the Ministry of education and science as the best adult education center in Latvia and became the winner of the European business support award.

Head of the Department of entrepreneurship support of the Zemgale regional center for competence development, Liga Mikelsone, is a mentor of aspiring entrepreneurs, an innovation management consultant, and an Ambassador of social entrepreneurship.
